WXMB 2 PRESENTS: IWD WXMBFAIR -AN ALL DAY AFFAIR-

🎉 Come and celebrate International Womxn’s Day 2020 with WXMB 2 🎉 We’ll be taking over Colours Hoxton from 12pm-12am, bringing a host of incredible womxn with us for panels, workshops, live music and more. Whether you want to take some time to work on your professional skills, recharge your activism, or just get your wiggle on, then we’ve got something for you. 🌸🌸🌸 During the day you can explore the WXMBFair, where creatives such as BIMM LONDON, BIRDSONG LONDON, GRRRL IN PRINT, HACKNEY RHAPSODY, HIPPIES CRAFT BOX, MOAN ZINE, NATIVE INSTRUMENTS, PSY SISTERS, TILEYARD EDUCATION and many more, will showcase their projects and businesses, including healthy food, conscious clothing, magazines, production tools, records and music. The 🧡 Orange Room 🧡 will feature technical workshops, which are a must for all entry-level producers and engineers, as well as those passionate about live production. Industry professionals will talk you through setting up backline, sound engineering, and light design. But for live tech production, one could also attend a DJ workshop (ready to showcase your skills on the open decks in the fair later in the day!) and participate in a music production masterclass. 🧡 DJ WORKSHOP BY BIG DYKE ENERGY 12:30-13:30 🧡 LIVE STAGE SET UP BY STELLA PAVONI 14:00-15:00 🧡 SOUND ENGINEERING BY SOUNDLASS 15:30-16:30 🧡 LIGHT ENGINEERING BY CAT WEBB 17:00-18:00 🧡 MUSIC PRODUCTION BY OLIVE OLIN 18:30-19:30 If you want to hear about the incredible things that womxn are doing across the industry, the 💗 Pink Room 💗 will feature our professional hub, which will be a space for sharing experience and advice. The day will kick off with some speed networking to break the ice and get to know the wonderful like-minded folx around you (who knows, your next collaborator could be in this room!). This will be followed by panels spanning topics across all corners of the music industry. Throughout the day, get inspired and learn from the best about: event production and festival programming, music journalism, zines and magazines, grant and funding applications, freelancing 101, or promotion featuring some of the city’s best club nights prioritising womxn and the LGBTQIA+ community. In this way, the event will be exploring the powerful spaces created through alternative nightlife. 💗 SPEED NETWORKING 12:30-13:15 💗 EVENT & FESTIVAL FACTORY 13:30-14:00 💗 DIGITAL MARKETING WORKSHOP BY SAIJA MAHON 14:30-15:00 💗 ZINE CULTURE W/ MOAN ZINE & POLYESTER ZINE 15:30-16:00 💗 FREELANCING 1-0-1 BY FREELANCE QUEENS 16:30-17:16 💗 CONCERT PHOTOGRAPHY BY GILI DAILES 17:30-18:00 💗 GRASSROOTS ORGANISING W/ KOODETA & RIPOSTE 18:15-19:15 To take a little break from the business side of things, you can check out the 💚 Green Room 💚 which is curated for you to connect deeper with your essence, and which is for anyone who is curious to learn more about yoga, plants, connecting with the sacred feminine, and balancing both masculine and feminine energies within yourself.
