In our last Artist Focus for 2019, we are pleased to feature Marina Karamarko and Ana Antonova: two Croatian artists who run the electronic music label THANQ.

Marina Karamarko, the founder, and Ana Antonova, the label manager, have joined forces in this festive season and have gifted us a free remix of the super popular track 'Bury a Friend' by Billie Elish. On the remix, the girls said:
“We are delighted to share this free edit with you. This is our holiday gift to all of you. We have made it for our fans, friends, and all people who like the sound, to give back for all the support this past year. We wish everyone a very Merry Xmass & Happy New Year!”

In addition to releasing the track, the THANQ label is celebrating its 5th birthday next year, so we can expect a lot of surprises coming our way from these two ladies, as they continue making it big and pushing females in the music scene in Croatia. As part of the birthday celebrations, they have recently published a label compilation, which they describe as follows:
“Is there a better way to celebrate 5 years of THANQ Label than releasing 14 amazing tracks from our catalogue? This Various Artists compilation contains 14 tracks from established and upcoming artists, each delivering their own unique style and sound. We wanted to capture the sound of our label in the past 5 years under the one release. From the past 43 releases, we have gathered a large group of artists all over the world. There are some tracks that we want to place under the spotlight once again, but it doesn't matter if they were produced in the last 6 months or 5 years ago. They still fit our sound, quality, genre and manifesto of the label. This is just first of many things to mark this festive 2020 for THANQ Label”
